Sleep During Pregnancy – Why You Need Plenty!

Sleep, we know we need it but it eludes many of us. When we are pregnant we need it more than ever, but why?

Poor sleep can adversely affect your health and pregnancy wellbeing resulting in conditions such as hypertension, gestational diabetes and headaches.

Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as well as other studies have found that those who slept 6hrs or less during the last trimester had a longer labour and higher rates of a cesaerian section.
